What are In-Frame and Shaker Kitchens?

In-frame kitchens feature a visible frame around the cabinet with the doors and drawers fitting and opening within this frame, offering a more traditional or classic look. The frame provides additional detailing, enhancing the cabinet’s aesthetic appeal and adds to the cabinet's strength and durability.

Lay-on kitchens have doors and drawers that cover the entire front of the cabinet, providing

a more modern and sleek appearance with smoother surfaces.

Shaker cabinet doors are made up of five components: two stiles, two rails, and a flat recessed panel in the middle.
