Handpainted Dorchester Inframe

About the work - from the designer

My clients initially came to me with architects drawings, a few concepts and a wish list of Pinterest and Instagram ideas.

They were building a brand new home to their exact specifications with the kitchen being the centre piece of the home. Their general brief was reasonably simple; Light, clean, classic and exempt from the inevitable trend changes.

The design style is a classic shaker 'inframe' kitchen and the client chose to personalise the look by adding a bead to the frames of the units,  detailed ogee edging on the 50mm thick worktop, an antique mirror back splash behind hob and detailed chimney panelling around the range cooker.

This kitchen needed to accommodate a busy family as well as be a host for regular social occasions so with this in mind we added a choice of seating on the island using European Oak as a small 'half moon' breakfast bar and the full round table at the opposite end.

The natural wood complements the marbled quartz work surface and the hand painted doors alike.

"We absolutely love our kitchen and so does everyone that sees it. Thank you again Guy to all of your team for making me such a beautiful kitchen."
